MARSDEN PARK
3,420 sqm
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Master chocolatier Lindt & Sprungli’s recently built premium grade facility in Marsden Park brought the company’s Australian headquarters, manufacturing, warehousing and a factory outlet together under the one roof. As part of this $50 million project, Morphos were awarded the contract to provide the final fitout and finishing touches to the 3420 sqm office environment.
The scope for Morphos was to work with Lindt and the building architect to finalise unresolved elements of the build that impacted the look and feel of the spaces over the buildings three floors, which included furniture layout and specification, detailed design of joinery items, signage and special features, procurement, delivery and installations, as well as some associated building and services works with onsite supervision. This substantial project was won in a competitive situation and represents the ability by Morphos to provide quality design solutions with a flexible approach to delivery.
Lindt’s identity as a premium brand was the inspiration for Morphos’s conceptual approach to the project, with Excellence being the name of one of Lindt’s main product range. The emphasis was on attention to detail, beautiful lines and quality finishes; these were translated into the built environment, while also introducing contemporary features and ideas.
The statement of quality and attention to detail is made upon entry to the lobby, where visitors and staff are greeted by an imposing marble reception desk that stands in front of a large scale custom feature wall. From here the fixed and loose furniture installed includes over 1,000 pieces from ten different suppliers and involves a significant amount of detailed custom joinery and installations. These are set within a mostly open-plan, modern workspace bathed in natural sunlight from a central skylight.
In order to promote teamwork and community, the building also features a range of meeting and collaboration areas on every floor. These include formal boardroom and conference areas, along with spacious outdoor patios and a range of lounges and casual indoor seating spaces.
While the fit-out is modern with contemporary detailing, it is also classic and timeless, in keeping with Lindt’s reputation as an industry leader with a premium brand.
