Axieo are leaders in Science innovation, developing solutions for the food and nutrition, plastics, agriculture and mining sectors. The business was formed in 2014 through the amalgamation of specialty plastics, chemical and raw material businesses, including Nuplex, APS Chemicals and Acquos. Most recently Axieo is in the process of acquiring two chemical and additive businesses and has partnered with Monash University, with its new Green Chemical Futures Building being named the Axieo Centre for Innovation.
While inspecting potential new Sydney premises at 16 Giffnock Avenue Macquarie Park, Axieo was shown a spec tenancy in the building recently completed by Morphos. While the ready-to-go tenancy was larger than their own requirements, Axieo saw the potential of the smaller space through the spec tenancy and invited Morphos to propose a fit-out solution to suit the vacant offices.
For the purposes of probity, Axieo had also invited another two companies to propose solutions. Morphos was selected on the basis that they had best understood the brief and building and provided a design that appropriately balanced Axieos’ functional, aesthetic and budgetary requirements.
The fit out combines a mixture of light, dark and natural elements to create an inviting and calming work environment. The natural tones throughout the space paired nicely with the incorporation of greenery throughout the space. Happy with the outcome of the project and the experience of working with the Morphos team, Axieo have called Morphos to undertake the fit-out of a major expansion to their Melbourne Head Office.
