Morphos partnered with Siren Design Group to deliver the new family offices of Ingham Property Group. Based in Alexandria, the design for the new head office is deeply anchored in the farming roots of the family and original Ingham business.
The brief for this project was to create a premium fit out that honours the Ingham family history, whilst placing sustainability at the fore. This is a considered design, which upcycles key elements in a heritage space, mixing the past, present and the future. The result is an elegant, solid and welcoming workplace for this prominent Australian family business.
Ingham Property Group’s origins date back to 1918 when Walter Ingham Sr purchased 42 acres of bushland near present day Casula for his son to farm. From here, the business grew from a fruit and vegetable farm, into Australia and New Zealand’s largest vertically integrated poultry operation.
The new office in Alexandria represents a new beginning for the business. As such, the objective was to bring the rich history of the business an original offices into the new workplace.
Artefacts, photos and timeline display were carefully integrated into the design so that from the moment visitors enter the reception, they are immersed and welcomed into the Ingham’s culture and history.
There were four key drivers for the design: history, culture, quality and celebrating the 5th generation of Ingham’s.
The interior design is an integration of contemporary ideas of the modern Ingham’s business within a space rich in history, experience and culture. This is a space that combines the raw textures of the heritage building with refined furniture, finishes and design details.
