The CBD Head Office for the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) was designed with simplicity in mind. The client engaged morphos with the idea of creating a space that would reflect the company’s stance on environmental sustainability, while still incorporating hints of elegance throughout the space.
Morphos brought together minimalistic design elements to create an office that would function around the client’s needs and brand identity, while remaining quietly confident in its aesthetic appeal. A monochromatic colour scheme was used throughout the tenancy, with touches of brass to accent certain areas. Keeping in line with the environmental aspect of the business, greenery was added to lift the space, nicely complementing the abundant natural light.
A focal point of the space, the boardroom was designed to accommodate large team meetings and conferences. Taking advantage of the natural light in the space, glass partitions were substituted for plasterboard walls, with film providing privacy for the space. Large opening doors give the boardroom a sense of prestige, and pairs perfectly with the seasoned oak boardroom desk to create a welcoming space for both staff and visitors. Connectivity was key in this space, so a comprehensive AV solution was integrated to accommodate the need for interaction between on and offsite staff and board members.
