Morphos were excited to work with Autopilot; a San Francisco based Software Company, as they looked to expand their Sydney operations into a new office space. Our solution also provided a unique opportunity for Morphos to design and produce bespoke joinery for the space.

The project presented a good opportunity for the Morphos team to showcase their creativity and mindful design. Autopilot sought to maintain their ‘start up’ atmosphere, while reflecting a youthful work culture, both to staff and clients. The space was designed to do just this, employing a blend of artistic fixtures and modern design elements, while maintaining a raw and approachable work environment.

One feature of the fit-out which Morphos are especially proud of is the custom designed display screen, designed and manufactured at our Morphos workshop. The idea was to create a separation between two distinct areas in the workspace, while maintaining an open plan office environment that took advantage of the abundant natural light.

The resulting product was a shelving screen designed to be used as a planter. The solution separated the reception and presentation area from the general workspace, while ensuring the space was still open, and welcoming, with a direct line of sight between staff and visitors. The shelving allowed the designers to complete the space with some natural elements, and add a vibrant feel with a generous quantity of plants. While providing a versatile solution that met the client’s current needs, the shelves also ensured flexibility as the companies space requirements are likely to change over time as the business continues to grow.
